Computers Part of your life" Grade 10 - CAPS edition How did the authors get the diacritics for Tshivenda? Activity 2 page 160. Bev Reed Reddam Constantia
In Windows 7 go to the character map and set the font to Tahoma. Select the letter and do a copy and paste into Word. In older versions of Word it seems much easier. http://salanguages.com/tshivenda/characters.htm This is what I have found.
Go to Insert Symbol. Any font. Ensure that the Edit Box (right) is set to UNICODE (hexadecimal). This will ensure that ALL symbols / characters are displayed. Look for the Venda ones in the (long) list - they are all there.

Hope it is as good as the previous series! Though, sure it will be!

UNICODE uses 16 bits (ASCII - 8 bits) and can accommodate a larger character set / set of symbols. So many 'new' symbols are added.
